Top SA music talent to perform at Jam Jozi Montecasino

MAGALIESSIG – What to expect at Montecasino's Jam Jozi musical festival, which promises to rock your boots.

Montecasino will be abuzz as renowned South African music artists take centre-stage for a two-day musical festival, Jam Jozi, from 29 to 30 October.

The festival will see some of the country’s finest bands, DJs and musicians such as Jack Parrow, Matthew Mole, Al-Bairre, Good Luck and Mafikizolo performing live, and a crowd of 15 000 people are expected to attend.

To enjoy this musical festival, get your weekend pass tickets for only R150 or day pass for R100 on 29 October from 10am to 10pm and 30 October from 10am.

Avid lovers of local music will be able to see more than 20 performances.

Performers on 29 October:

  • 10am – Half ‘n Half (Johannesburg-based indie electro musician)
  • 11am – Adelle Nqeto (Pretoria-based afro-infusion musician)
  • 12pm – Sutherland (Johannesburg-based indie folk band)
  • 1pm – Josh Kempen (Johannesburg-based modern blues and acoustic pop artist)
  • 2pm – Boxer (Johannesburg-based Box-&-Roll indie crunch band)
  • 3pm – Ben Dey and Concrete Lions (Cape Town-based afro/indie pop-rock band)
  • 4pm – BCUC (Soweto-based urban pop band)
  • 5pm – Matthew Mole (Cape Town-based urban pop band)
  • 6pm – Al-Bairre (musical group)
  • 7pm – Ross Jack (Johannesburg-based solo hip-hop musician)
  • 8pm – The Kiffness (Cape Town-based live electronic band)
  • 9pm – Chunda Munki (Johannesburg-based groove energy band).

Performers on 30 October will be:

  • 10am – Lilly Million (Johannesburg-based urban pop solo musician)
  • 11am – Bad Peter (Pretoria-based acoustic folk-rock duo)
  • 12pm – Bye Beneco (Johannesburg-based eclectic dream-pop band)
  • 1pm – Urban Village (Soweto-based urban pop band)
  • 2pm – Rubber Duc (Johannesburg-based folk swing band)
  • 3pm – Shortstraw (Johannesburg-based indie rock band)
  • 4pm – Mafikizolo (Johannesburg-based afro-pop band)
  • 5pm – Jack Parrow (Cape Town-based Afrikaans rapper)
  • 6pm – Good Luck (Cape Town-based electronic band)

You are also invited to take a break from the music and roam down Eat Street, Nosh Lane and Chow Avenue, all within Montecasino’s outdoor events area, where you can enjoy burgers, burritos, sweet treats and much more. A variety of alcoholic beverages will also be sold.
