Summer bodies need trainers

SANDTON – A personal trainer offers advice to residents who are looking for a trainer.

The temperature is rising, spring is in the air and residents are readying their bodies for summer wear.

Personal trainer and Sandton resident, Jake Batat, said that a good way to get into shape is to hire the correct personal trainer. ”The ideal professional personal trainer will foster motivation, inspiration, goal setting, provide feedback, discipline and correct education on all aspects of wellness like general health, correct form, exercise prescription and instruction.”[Clients can] learn a wide variety of different exercises for all various muscle groups, allowing you to choose the most suited exercises that will be to your benefit.”

According to Batat, exercise often becomes repetitive and unexciting.

”The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results [according to] Albert Einstein. Break that mundane and directionless routine.”

He concluded that it is vital to source the coach that is right for each individual person. ”Have a trial session first to establish if the two of you click before committing. Always feel comfortable and if the coach does not make you feel comfortable and not at ease, get out.

”Don’t assume he or she is qualified. Ask the relevant questions, it is your health you are dealing with and that is no compromise.”
