Heaving crowds hit Huawei Joburg Day
LANSERIA – Some of the biggest artists in the country took centre stage at this year's Huawei Joburg Day. Read to find out who they were.
Music enthusiasts came in their numbers to watch their favourite artists perform onstage at the much-anticipated Huawei Joburg Day in partnership with 947 radio station at Crocodile Creek Polo Estate in Lanseria on 3 September.
The musically-infused day commenced with an entertaining performance from Timothy Timothy Oude Vrielink aka ‘Timo ODV’. Hip-hop artist, Nsikayesizwe ‘Nasty C’ Ngcobo followed and the crowd sang along to his debut songs Juice Back and Hell Naw.

As the sun hit midday, Matthew Mole took to the stage and serenaded the audience. He was followed by hip-hop rapper, Senzo ‘Kwesta’ Vilakazi, and the popular group, Micasa.
House DJ, Themba ‘Euphonik’ Nkosi took to the decks, then came a sensational performance by Nkosinathi ‘DJ Black Coffee’ Maphumulo, who got crowds jumping to his internationally-renowned hits.

With the sun about to set and the day coming to an end, Kyle and Shekhinah, Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes, electronic band GoodLuck and Khensani ‘DJ Kent’ Mabaso closed this year’s Huawei Joburg Day with a bang.

One could not deny that the 15 000 people who attended the event thoroughly enjoyed some of the most exciting musical acts in the country perform live.
