The launch of the Angel Network

Rivonia – Charity group, the Angel Network has been officially launched.

 

 

The official launch of the Angel Network, a charity organisation which provides support to thousands of children in South Africa, recently held a ‘Fun-raiser’ in Rivonia.

The event took place at the Barnyard Theatre in Rivonia with the show, The Hollywood Walk of Fame, providing entertainment for guests.

Glynne Wolman of the Angel Network gave a speech before the show started and said the organisation provides feeding schemes, sanitation, clothing, education and supplies to schools, creches, maternity homes, orphanages, outreach centres and the homeless across six provinces across the country.

She said, “Nine months ago I discovered the real power of social media the day the Angel Network was conceived. It all began because of the need by so many for so much.”

Together with dedicated Facebook members, volunteers and sponsors, the network operates from Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban.

“Our aim is to implement sustainable change and support structures for local community groups that would have a long-lasting impact and are committed to invest in children so that the world around them can ultimately benefit,” Wolman concluded.
