Domestic Watch meetings for July

NORTHERN SUBURBS – Domestic Watch will host a series of meetings

Domestic Watch, founded by Penny Steyn, will host a series of meetings in Sandton dealing with the issue of fires.

With the help of specialist speakers from the City of Johannesburg’s Emergency Medical Services, Steyn will lead lessons on first aid, basic firefighting and general safety. She said, “With numerous horror fire stories being reported and relayed to me, fire can be intentional or unintentional, but both are hugely destructive.

“With homes burning to the ground, domestic quarters with their staff being blown up, stoves blowing up in front of users, we can only hope that our precious attendees know what to do and what essential preventative actions must be taken. A highly comprehensive written lesson is given to all attendees to share with employers and others.

Meetings will take place in the following areas:

  • Gallo Manor and Wendywood at the Christ Church Sandton on 20 July at 11.30am
  • Morningside at Sandton Police Station’s lapa on 20 March at 1.30pm
  • Bryanston and Rivonia at Christian Science Church on 22 July at 12pm
  • Gallo Manor and Morningside Manor at Manor Community Church on 28 July at 10am
  • Hurlingham at the Rosebank Union Church on 26 July at 10am
  • Bryanston at St Michaels Church on 21 July at 11.30am.
