Attempted hijacking in Wendywood

SANDTON – An attempted hijacking has allegedly taken place in Wendywood.

 

According to Bramley Police Station’s spokesperson, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, an attempted car hijacking occurred in Wendywood on 5 July.

It is alleged that the hijacking took place on the corner of Service and Wendy roads and shots were fired. After the incident, two suspects are said to have run off down Wendy Road.

One suspect has been caught.

The victim allegedly jumped out of the car and no injuries were reported.

Sandton Chronicle is awaiting further comment from the police.
