Wine and whisky affair
HYDE PARK - Wine and whisky enthusiasts gathered at Hyde Park Corner on 26 and 27 May for a wonderful tasting experience.
Residents were treated to two nights of impeccable taste and luxury at the Old Mutual Wade Bales Wine & Malt Whiskey Affair at Hyde Park Corner.
The floors of Hyde Park corner were filled with wine and whisky aficionados and newcomers who came to taste some of the most delicious bottles of wine and whisky which South Africa has to offer. And with 18 wine estates offering 80 different wines and 15 whisky houses with more than 50 single malt whiskies, there was a wide selection of taste and aroma suitable for any palate.
The wine estates on show included Delaire Graff Estate, Ernie Els and Mulderbosch, bringing some of their most prized selections while whisky brands such as The Balvenie, Bunnahabhain and Bruichladdich returned for this year’s event to please connoisseurs and enthusiasts.
A masterclass on whisky was held every night, with 20 to 25 people being able to learn from whisky shop, WhiskyBrother, on how to take away the full experience from different types of whisky.
