The Linden Market

Entrance is R10 but children and dogs get in for free.
The Linden Market was specifically created as a platform for local designers, shop owners and food vendors. Although it’s still in its start-up phase, the organisers have made sure that they keep up to date with latest trends and the market is highly curated and filled with fresh stock. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy some fresh air.

The Madhatters’ Picnic – JHB
5 March
Riversands Farm Village, Dorothy Road, Midrand
10am to 5pm
Ticket prices range from R50 for adults to R30 for children
The Mad Hatter’s tea party is one of the most famous scenes from the classic story of Alice in Wonderland. So Riversands Farm is joining in the fun with a day packed with great activities for young and old, including a hat walk, balloons, an Easter egg hunt, a food market, and even screenings of the original Alice in Wonderland movie released in 1951 and the latest version that was released in 2010.

If a lazy afternoon of indulgence is what you’re after, then Backyard is the place to be. Sip on delish, freshly made cocktails, coffee or vino while nibbling mouth-watering treats such as a Pink Snapper burger, pressed beef short rib or caramelized onion and garlic flatbread, all while listening to live music.
Jump City Challenge

Entry fees vary from R190 to R400 for teams
Adrenaline junkies will love Jozi’s favourite inner city obstacle race. You’ll run around, jump over and crawl through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks including Museum Africa, Newtown Junction, Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, the Old Bus Factory and many more. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart or fitness amateurs.
