Bryanston High triathlon star

BRYANSTON - Bryanston High School has expressed pride in Cameron McNair, a Grade 11 pupil and top provincial triathlete who competed in the Trinity Triathlon Series on 13 December.

 

Spokesperson for the school, Lauren Streng said, “Cameron McNair is just one example of the many talented and dedicated sportsmen and women Bryanston High School is proud to have on our team.”

The Triathlon Series took place at Germiston lake and saw Cameron compete in a 750-metre swim, a 20km cycle and a 5km run. McNair placed third in his age group with a time of 1:10:33.

McNair also competed in the Central Gauteng Triathlon Championship where he placed first in his age group with a time of 1:11:48.

Streng added, “Bryanston High School is proud to announce that on 20 January, Cameron McNair was selected to be a part of the Central Gauteng Team for South African Triathlon Champs, which is set to take place on the 12 March in Bloemfontein.”
