Calling all domestic goddesses and gods
JOBURG - As domestic workers are the unsung heroines and heroes in many homes around South Africa, Hirsch's has just announced their Domestic Worker of the Month competition for next year.
They are housekeepers and gardeners who do maintenance work, cook and mind children, as well as play an integral part in making sure that everything runs smoothly in the home.
Hirsch’s would like to acknowledge these stalwarts in the home by running a monthly Domestic Worker of the Month competition. The monthly winner will receive a R300 Hirsch’s voucher and a certificate and the winners’ names will also go forward for the title of Domestic Worker of the Year and stand a chance to win a prize worth R5 000.
The full duration of the competition will be from January to December next year, and a grand finale will be held to award next year’s Domestic Worker of the Year.
If you would like to nominate your domestic worker for the monthly competition, compile a 100-word motivation on why they deserve the prize and e-mail your entries to Lize-Mari du Plessis at lize@hirschs.co.za.
