One of three suspects confesses to intention to commit a crime with unlicensed firearm

WENDYWOOD – Three suspects were arrested by Sandton police officers after they were found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.

 

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Sandton Police Station, said one of the suspects confessed to the intention to commit a crime using the unlicensed firearm. “The suspect confessed that the three of them were going to hijack a car,” added Maphakela.

The three suspects were arrested on the spot and detained at the Sandton Police Station.

They are expected to appear in court soon.
