Tools worth R1.4 million stolen from Morningside construction site

MORNINGSIDE – Tools worth R1.4 million were stolen from a construction site in Morningside.

 

This according to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Sandton Police Station, who said a case of theft was opened with the police following the incident.

“Two security guards were left to look after the property and the next day they found that two containers at the construction site had been broken into and some of the tools were missing,” explained Maphakela.

No arrests have been made, but police are investigating.
