Brescia pupils take part in World Maths Day

SANDTON - A group of Brescia House Primary School pupils joined the world of maths enthusiasts and recently took part in World Maths Day.

Marketing manager of the school, Helga Bishop said, “World Maths Day is an online international mathematics competition. The simple, but innovative idea of combining aspects of multi-player online gaming with math problems has contributed to its popularity around the world.”

Grade 5 pupils Holly Allen, Lefa Tshabalala, Lee Logan and Thando Velempini used the school’s tablets and iPads and tested their maths knowledge along with other schools and pupils from around the world.

Grade 5 maths teacher, Shelley Hill said, “We are so fortunate to have tablets and iPads for the girls to use and we hope our girls have lots of fun testing their maths facts.”
