Decent officers lauded for their work at charity event
PARKMORE – The Bramley police were recently lauded for their outstanding service during a charitable event at George Lea South Park.
This according to Stacey Fensham, who hosted The Street Store at the park, a pop-up store supplying clothes to homeless and unemployed people. Fensham explained that the police interacted with the homeless in a friendly way and assisted with translation and keeping the event orderly.
“There was no sense of fear [towards the police] coming from the homeless and they interacted with the homeless in such a way that you forgot that they were in uniform,” she said.
She thanked the officers who were on duty, adding that they were a reminder that good policemen do still exist.
