First accolades of PSL monthly awards

JOBURG - The premier soccer league season began with only three games gone has already produced brilliant performances and great spectacle for the beautiful game supporters through out the country.

The Premier Soccer League season has already produced some brilliant football performances as well as some honourable awards and wins.

Ajax Cape Town’s striker, Prince Nxumalo, and Mpumalanga Black Aces’ coach, Muhsin Ertugral, have been announced as winners of the Absa Premiership Player and Coach of the Month for August.

Black Aces, also known as Amazayoni because their fans dress like Zionists, enjoyed an impressive start to the new season, securing two victories and a draw in their opening three games under the guidance of Ertugral.

Following closely on Aces’ heels are the Urban Warriors with two victories from three outings. Their good start to the season was spearheaded by the rejuvenated Prince Nxumalo, formerly with Supersport United. Nxumalo has hit the back of the net three times and is currently the leading goalscorer.

He said he was happy with his performances so far this season and hoped to continue the momentum and help his team, Ajax Cape Town, win some silverware.
