UPDATE: Two minions missing, others to go to hospital
BRYANSTON - MNet has confirmed that one minion was deliberately removed from the billboard.

In a statement made by MNet Movies they said that they first noticed that a minion was missing on 24 July.
They noticed the missing minion after doing a site inspection, in preparation to have all the minions removed and delivered to the Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital in August.
MNet Movies confirmed that there were originally 11 minions on the billboard and since the report of the missing minions first broke they have now realised that another minion has gone missing.
“MNet Movies thought we were a little obsessed with minions, turns out our Jozi viewers are a little more obsessed,” the statement read.

However the other minions is still missing and MNet is appealing to whoever took the minion to please bring it back.

No minion seems to be safe as yet another minion has gone missing from the billboard on William Nicol Drive.
Photos taken on the morning of 31 July now only show nine minions on the billboard.
There were originally 11 minions however one mysteriously went missing almost a month ago.
No one knows who is taking the minions but one fan theory suggests that the little yellow characters may be leaving the billboard of their own accord in search of a new master.

It has now come to light that the minion may have been missing for quite some time.

@Olo_Mongale tweeted a photo of the Minions billboard 22 days ago, which shows only 10 minions. However there were reportedly originally eleven minions on the billboard.

The public is demanding that the minion be brought back to take its rightful place on the billboard.

Motorists travelling on William Nicol Drive, past Bryanston High, could attest to seeing something amiss when travelling under the Minions billboard on the morning of 31 July.
The billboard, which is an advertisement for the hit animation film, is popular with motorists.
However on the morning of 31 July, one minion appeared to have mysteriously disappeared.
Express 947 tweeted that the minion had been stolen and that if found it should be returned to MNet.
