The Marlboro Gardens Football Club collects over 6 000 books
MARLBORO – The Marlboro Gardens Football Club, in partnership with the ladies from the Baitun Khair organisation, made Nelson Mandela Day special for the elderly in Alexandra by assisting them to get smart identification cards.
The club and organisation, with officials from the Department of Home Affairs, visited the Ithlokomeng Old Age Home to help those without smart cards to acquire them from the department.
The club also made all the necessary arrangements to transport those who needed the cards to get to the department, as a gesture from the Marlboro community.
Board members from the centre expressed their gratitude to the various stakeholders for their valuable support and assistance.
