Join the women’s networking high tea series

SANDTON – Businesswomen have recently been hosting a series of high tea sessions in Sandton which aim to grow networks with women associated with the Graduate School of Business, their colleagues and their friends. The network events will alternate between Cape Town and Johannesburg.

The first high tea was held at Petit Fours in the design district of Kramerville in Sandton where the women had the pleasure of being addressed by best-selling author and facilitator, Helen Nicolson, who is known as the Queen of Networking.

“It was a fitting start to the event which aims to develop the capacity to network effectively,” said Sandton businesswoman Simryn de Jager, who is also part of the high tea series event.

The second high tea series saw master executive leadership coach and facilitator, Jill Hamlyn, take the women through techniques for leading effectively at senior management levels within their respective organisations, and this event was held at Balalaika Hotel in Sandton.

“Women inspire, lead, motivate and support, yet too often we try to do it all on our own,” added De Jager.

“Networking is key to finding the right support and guidance from people who have experienced a journey upon which we may be about to embark. Networking offers a reprieve from having to make the same mistakes countless people have made before you.”

This year, the event is looking to corporate sponsors whose brands align to the cause of the high tea series and supports the initiative.

“In this way corporate sponsors can help us achieve our ultimate goal of providing mentorship and guidance to young women in South Africa,” said e Jager.

Anyone interested in the initiative is encouraged to join the Ladies Networking High Tea Series on the social network LinkedIn for more information.
