CONFIRMED: Six Arrests made in connection with Parkmore murder

PARKMORE - Six arrests have been made in connection with the murder of a gardener in Parkmore on 19 July.

According to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Sandton Police, six suspects were arrested in Marlboro and Alexandra on 20 July.

Two of the suspects are minors.

The goods that were stolen during the robbery were recovered as well as the Jaguar which was stolen from the property. However the vehicle has been damaged.

All six suspects are expected to appear in court soon.

Police have reportedly made arrests in connection with the murder of a gardener in Parkmore on 19 July.

According to a tweet by @crimeairnetwork police have arrested five people in connection with the murder as well as the theft of a Jaguar from the Parkmore property.

According to deputy chairperson of the Parkmore Community Association, Kate Wardle, five suspects were arrested during a roadblock in Alexandra earlier today.

Wardle said the suspects had been driving the stolen Jaguar.

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela said he was aware of the arrests but was still in the process of gathering details before making a statement.

A man was allegedly murdered in Parkmore on 19 July.

This according to deputy chairperson of the Parkmore Community Association, Kate Wardle, who said the details of the incident are still confusing.

She explained, “The gardener was murdered, but it may have been an argument that went wrong rather than a home invasion. The owners are abroad. I’m nervous about frightening people because this doesn’t seem like a typical home invasion.”

She added that a Jaguar was also stolen from the residence and was later recovered.

On the Parkmore Community Association Facebook page reports state that the incident allegedly occurred on 7th Street in the late afternoon.

Members of the association, the police, as well as the security company, 24/7, attended to the scene.

Spokesperson for Sandton police, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, has been contacted, but is yet to confirm the incident.

This is a developing story and more information will be revealed as it becomes available.
