Bryanston paddler is recognised again

BRYANSTON - Bryanston resident and South African World Marathon canoe team manager Steve Jourdan received his re-award of his national colours as team manager at the Gauteng Canoe Union annual prize giving ceremony.

 

The event was held at Rusty Hook in Roodepoort and saw numerous paddlers being recognised for a variety of achievements including Gauteng colours, national colours, federation colours as well as trophies for specifically identified international or inter-provincial championship events in surfski, river racing, canoe polo, sprints and marathons.

Jourdan, an active member of the canoeing fraternity has served as team manager for the world marathon team on numerous occasions over the past few years. He took part in the last World Marathon Championships in Oklahoma, USA last year.
