Company hosts sleepout

WOODMEAD - In support of their CEO Daryl Blundell, who will participate in the CEO SleepOut on 18 June, the staff at Sage Pastel Accounting spent a cold evening in the Sage Technology Park's parking lot in Woodmead on 11 June.

With 135 staff members sleeping outside, and collectively pledging R50 000 for CEO SleepOut beneficiary Girls and Boys Town South Africa, marketing manager Joanne van der Walt said, “When Daryl volunteered to participate in the CEO SleepOut, we wanted to do more than merely wish him luck. So, we all arranged a sleepout of our own and decided to make a contribution to charity.”

Van der Walt concluded, “We are delighted by the support we received from the team, who gave generously to this initiative. It was one of the wettest and coldest winter nights yet, and lasting the night certainly put our resolve to the test. Next week is Daryl’s turn, and we look forward to supporting him.”
