Police arrest house robbery suspects in Bryanston

BRYANSTON - THREE alleged robbers met their downfall on the morning of 12 June when they were arrested for attempted house robbery in Bryanston.

 

The break-in took place at about 11am in Blackwood Avenue when according to Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini, three suspects managed to gain entry into a house.

“It is alleged that three suspects used a crowbar to open the gate, drove in with their vehicle and held up a domestic worker in the process,” Dlamini said.

He added that security and the police responded to the scene and the suspects were promptly arrested with no injuries reported.

Nothing was taken from the house but a Nissan Sentra, allegedly to be used as a getaway vehicle and a crowbar were found at the scene.

The suspects were charged with attempted house robbery and will appear at the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on 15 June.
