Barking Army wants you

FOURWAYS – NON-profit dog rescue organisations Husky Rescue Southern Africa and Border Collie Rescue have teamed up to form the Barking Army Team aimed at raising funds at the Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge.

Both organisations are dedicated to the prevention of abuse of these breeds and finding good homes for them. Because they are both non-profit organisations, they rely immensely on donations and raising funds.

In an endeavour to raise funds and awareness for their cause, the two organisations represented by Barking Army are inviting people who have a passion either for their cause or for the organisations themselves, to join the army.

The Barking Army will provide every rider a dedicated early start time if required, group training rides, cycling jerseys for the riders’ selected organisation, and there will be a hospitality tent at the finish.

Riders who would like to get involved are required to pledge R2 500 for either Border Collie Rescue or Husky Rescue. They will also be required to sell cakes, have a jumble sale, hold a raffle at the office, and get their kilometres sponsored by friends and family.
