There’s poo in your beard
JOBURG - Hipsters beware … a recent study has revealed that your beard might be teeming with a bit more than just the crumbs from your last sandwich.
Believe it or not, a full face of hair is often dirtier than a toilet.

The UK’s Daily Star has published an article that will (hopefully) shock half the nation into shaving. While a thick face-mullet may be on trend these days, a beard full of poo particles is far from desirable. Microbiologist John Golobic of Quest Diagnostics in New Mexico took swabs from various beards to find out what bacteria lurks between the fuzzy follicles.

Unfortunately, his study found that most beards contained so much poo they were worse than toilets.
Golobic said that if they were to find similar samples in the water systems, they would have to be shut down. He said that while the bacteria wouldn’t make you sick, it does show a lack of cleanliness that is disturbing. He recommended that men try to touch their beards and faces as little as possible.

Full beards are back with a vengeance and can be spotted on some of Hollywood’s biggest earners, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pritt.
There are even Instagram, twitter and Pinterest accounts dedicated to the bearded man. We wonder how they will react to this crappy news.
