Overturned vehicles cause major delays

A truck carrying fruit overturned on the highway, causing traffic delays and obstruction around 9am this morning. According to Metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar, police are on scene and are addressing the situation. Twitter is a buzz as motorists tweet pictures of the accident. Minnaar encouraged motorists to use alternative routes to ease traffic congestion.

A light motor vehicle has also overturned just after the Rivonia Road intersection. Minnaar urges road users to be vigilant and drive slower through the misty weather.
