Sandton police’s best of the best honoured

SANDTON - The Sandton police honoured the best of the best at the Top Cops Awards which took place at the Sandton Police Station on 15 April.

Colonel Garry Govender, who also heads up Vispol, the visible policing department at the station, congratulated all the police officers for their hard work and for looking after the Sandton community.

“These guys have done good work, thank you and well done to all of you,” he said. “It is good to see that we do not see the same faces every time we are here. This means there are more top cops to be seen.” He went on to thank the Sandton Community Policing Forum for their support.

Wendy Vorster-Robertson, the chairperson of the forum said, “The forum considers the police to be part of our family. We are privileged and honoured to be working with you.” She went on to thank the police for their selfless act of putting their lives on the line every time they are on the job.
