Man reportedly threatens Sandton neighbour with knife

SANDTON - It was reported that a man wielding a knife threatened his Sandton neighbour on the morning of 27 February and police advised the complainant to open a case.

Eye-Witness News (EWN) reported that video footage of the incident had emerged and showed the man, who appeared to be drunk, was carrying a large knife and threatening to kill the man and cut out his guts. He also reportedly called the complainant a ‘boere’.

EWN reported that the incident unfolded after the complainant called the security when the man was allegedly arguing loudly with his girlfriend.

The man who threatened the complainant told EWN that he had no intention to kill his neighbour, but rather he wanted to “scare the complainant and his girlfriend”.

EWN said the police advised the complainant to open a case after he presented the footage to them and said police had not responded to these questions.

Sandton Chronicle will follow this story and will update when their own questions are answered by police.
