New app to show party spots
JOBURG - As partygoers prepare for December, an exciting new app has been introduced to assist users find the trendiest places.
The app, Trender, is a location-based photo app that allows users to find popular party spots and invite friends to those trendy spots.
Co-founder of Trender, Dean Hitge, explained how the app would assist party-goers to find the most popular sites on a night out with friends.
“It lets you see what your friends and other partygoers are doing in real-time and allows you to see what photos they’ve been taking. You can now be in the right place at the right time,” he said.
He added that the app ranked venues as a ‘trend’ and allowed users to view the most popular venues, while also enabling them to browse these trends by category such as nightlife, bars, and restaurants.
Calvin Terblanche, joint CEO of Trender further added that the app also allowed users to create their own ‘trends’ with their names attached to it.
“Additionally, users can invite friends to trends, take and share photos of trends in real-time, see which friends are going to which trends and how many people are there right now,” he said.
Trender is free and currently available on Android but will soon also be available on iOS.
