Sandton CPF to host open community meeting

WOODMEAD - The Sandton Community Police Forum will host an open community meeting on 1 October and invites residents to converse with senior police members.

The meeting will act as an opportunity for the forum to promote understanding of the needs of the Sandton police and the local community in order to tackle crime at ground level.

The forum is the official mandated link between these two important parties, and attempts to promote public participation, effective communication and improve transparency between the public and the Sandton police.

Chairperson of the forum Wendy Vorster-Robertson said, “The National Crime Stats have been released in the past week and the Sandton community is encouraged to meet with senior members of the police to discuss local issues in this regard and to interact and contribute to strategies to fight crime in the future. Come and ask your questions, share your ideas and join with like-minded community members in making a positive difference.”

The community meeting will be held on 1 October at 6pm at Country Club Johannesburg in Woodmead.
