Are the Rolex gang back?
A man has been robbed of his watch and other jewellery by suspects wearing balaclavas.
The robbery took took place on 7 September by suspects driving a white Audi Q range car.
“We have noted with concern the fact that the victims watch was stolen, and are investigating all possible angles of the case,” said spokesperson of the Sandton police, Captain Kym Cloete.
It has been reported that the robbery may have possible links to the Rolex gang, or a copycat group, but police could not confirm that at this stage.
The Rolex gang has been out of action for some time following the death of its leader, Kelvin Ludidi in a shootout with police, and the sentencing of kingpin Mandla Dube to 45 years in jail in 2012.
