Two dead, 15 missing as search resumes at Jukskei River in Sandton

Search and rescue operations resumed this morning after 15 people were believed to have been swept away in the Jukskei River in Bramley Park.

Search and rescue operations resumed this morning for 15 people who have allegedly been swept away in the Jukskei River in Bramley Park on the evening of December 3. 

City of Johannesburg Emergency Medical Service spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi confirmed that the search will resume this morning (December 4) after it was called off late last night. 

Two people were confirmed dead on the scene and another was rescued.

[The] people [were] believed to have been swept away while conducting [a] church ritual,” said Mulaudzi.
