Local stand-up comedy brings the laughter to Sandton
Dalin Oliver’s Stay At Home Comedian stand-up show received raving reviews after opening at the Theatre On The Square in Sandton.
It was a fun night out on the town as Dalin Oliver’s award-winning Stay At Home Comedian stand-up show opened at the Theatre On The Square from September 27 to October 1.
Attendees were left in fits of laughter as Oliver replayed experiences with his colourful neighbours.
“I feel like I’m living in a soapy and have experienced so much because of my neighbours. It’s more drama than when Marlena was possessed on Days Of Our Lives back in the day. That reference is for my generation. The TikTokkers have no clue who the OGs [Orginal Gangsters] like Marlena and Stefano DiMera are/were,” said Oliver.

Written, performed and produced by the radio and TV personality, this act is fresh from the National Arts Festival.
“The show launched at the Artscape in Cape Town in November 2021. Since then, I’ve performed it at numerous venues in the Mother City, Johannesburg, Gqeberha, Kariega, Oudtshoorn, Bloemfontein and most recently, the Arts Festival where it won the prestigious accolade,” said Oliver.
