Female boxing fans cheer and clap for their favourites at the Galleria

The ESPN Africa Boxing challenge hosted an exclusive all-female main card boxing event at the Galleria.

During one of the most highly anticipated boxing events of the year, ESPN Africa Boxing offered fans an all-female main card which took place at the Galleria.

On the evening of August 25, boxing fans from all over various parts of Sandton all came out in numbers to show their support for their favourite female boxers. The exclusive boxing challenge provided viewers with six main card fights and two undercards.

One of the participants, Thandeka Mboambi said, “I am into martial arts so coming here was and is the biggest highlight of my week so far. One of my friends who is a medical representative for the entire function invited me to witness great fights live. The other reason why I am here today is to celebrate women.”

A couple of familiar faces were also at the venue, comedian Tol Ass Mo and Mome Mahlangu cheered on with other participants during the ESPN Africa Boxing event.

No serious injuries were reported throughout the entire boxing event.
