Suspects arrested following hijacking in Marlboro

Bramley police reported that three suspects were arrested following an alleged hijacking in Marlboro.

Three suspects were recently arrested and detained at Bramley Police Station following an alleged hijacking in Marlboro.

According to Bramley Police Station spokesperson Captain Molefe Mogodi, the crime was reported to the station on July 31.

“It is alleged the complainant was inside his vehicle when approached by two suspects, one of them armed with a firearm. The suspects allegedly threatened the complainant with a firearm and forced him out of his vehicle.”

Investigations by the SAPS Johannesburg North Sub-District Trio Unit led to the suspects’ hideout on August 2 where three men were arrested.

Police found property belonging to the complainant, including a key to the alleged stolen car.

“[Police] also found a replica firearm believed to have been used in the crime as well as the hijacked vehicle.”

All three suspects were detained at the station and will appear in court in due course.
