St David’s Marist Inanda commences
St David’s Marist Inanda welcome their community to the first-ever winter market filled with loads of food, drinks and entertainment for both children and adults.
The student body of St David’s Marist Inanda and parents welcomed their community to the school’s first winter market on July 9.
Despite the chilly weather, many attendees joined the school as they celebrated their first of many winter markets to come. The event started at 14:30 and had everything to offer to the public including food, sweets, drinks, accessories and entertainment.
A stage saw talented learners perform some classic songs for parents, teachers and community members. Parent Lana Tommasi was there to support her son play with his band.
“Everyone on that stage is talented and it is amazing to witness it live. That is one of the reasons why I am here today,” said Tommasi.
St David’s Marist Inanda head of advancement Lara Klement spent many hours with her team to bring the project to life.
“The winter market is driven by our PTA who are a very vibrant group of parent volunteers in our space, and they felt that it was important to get our community back to the place where we can connect and help one another.
We are blown away by the turnout and support, we are grateful and happy that the first of many winter markets was a success,” said Klement.
The majority of attendees watched the rugby in the main hall as the Boks took on Wales.
