Crawford Sandton’s junior golfer takes on Nedbank Junior Challenge

Crawford International Sandton’s junior pro golfer Amilkar Bhana recently gave a phenomenal performance at the Nedbank Junior Golf Challenge in Sun City.

Crawford International Sandton’s young golfer Amilkar Bhana continues to reach new heights in his golfing career.

Amilkar recently joined South Africa’s leading junior golfers in the prestigious Nedbank Junior Challenge at the legendary Gary Player Country Club at Sun City.

The tournament saw the country’s elite junior amateur golfers and rising stars come together to battle it out on the greens. More than 180 entries were received for this tournament.

Not only was being invited to the tournament a tremendous honour but the young player finished in a phenomenal joint third place with his co-GolfRSA national squad member Pascal Gunther.

According to Amilkar, the tournament proved to be an exceptional learning experience for him.

“It was a real honour competing amongst the best junior golfers, on a world renowned golf course, the Gary Player Country Club at Sun City.”

He remains grateful for not only the opportunities he has received but also the support he has received from his friends, family and school.

“I am really thankful to the principal and the teachers of my school Crawford College Sandton for giving me the opportunity to balance both my academics and competing on the golf course.”
