Bryanston Country Club Sprayathon a success

BRYANSTON – It was a job well done by the Bryanston Country Club at the end of the colourful day, the club raised just over R20 000 to the cancer association.

Bryanston Country Club recently came alive with colour as it embraced the annual Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) Sprayathon.

Members and staff of the club enjoyed their new bright hair colours on February 19, supporting the countrywide campaign.

The Sprayathon and Shavathon is aimed at raising funds and showing solidarity for those affected by cancer. Losing one’s hair is a common side effect of cancer therapy so shaving your head has become a symbolic gesture of support for cancer survivors.

According to the club’s marketing manager Tilani Edwards, the club really came out in its numbers to support the fun and colourful day.

“Management of the club sprayed hair, beards and legs to raise awareness for Cansa,” she said.

She added that participants of the Douglas Trophy Event on the day also made a generous donation towards the cause.
