High Park High’s leaders of tomorrow

HYDE PARK – All elected learners were congratulated as now being part of the school’s management team.

The role of the RCL within a school is to build unity, be helpful, display leadership qualities and address the needs of their fellow learners.

This was according to Hyde Park High School’s communication’s secretary Avril Wright as the school announced this year’s RCL members and executive team that will help lead the school in the new year.

The RCL executive elections, facilitated by deputy principal Kumaren L Nayager, took place on February 16.

This year’s executive team consists of Orion Govender (president), Lethabo Malatji (deputy president), Tshoboko Tlomatsana (treasurer), Lesedi Makoko (secretary), Phillip Ajayi (deputy secretary) and Leila Chandaka (publications relations officer).

“The RCL members are role models for all the learners in the school and are expected to uphold the school high standards at all times. This leadership opportunity affords them the experience to learn more about leading and managing others and promotes personal growth in the process,” said Wright.

All elected learners were congratulated as now being part of the school’s management team.
