Spend your lunch hour at the theatre

SANDTON – The mini-concert series invites the community to enjoy a diverse programme of concerts, featuring some of the country’s best musicians, across all genres.

In an effort to bring a little music back to the community, the Friday Lunch Hour Music Concerts have returned to the Theatre On The Square.

The mini-concert series invites the community to enjoy a diverse programme of concerts, featuring some of the country’s best musicians, across all genres.

According to the theatre’s Daphne Kuhn, at just R100 per ticket (R60 for theatre members) the live concert series is a great way to get more people to visit the theatre. “We have been doing this lunchtime concert series for at least 50 years now and it has always been such a delight for the community.”

The concert series also allows the theatre to launch new and/or young artists, no matter their background and genre.

“The ticket sales also go to the artists which is great, given the struggle that the last two years presented,” added Kuhn.

All of the concerts take place on a Friday afternoon at 13:00; unreserved tickets are available from the theatre box office from 12:30.
