The St David Marist Inanda community is stronger than ever

INANDA – Our staff, parents and learners have contributed to an environment of care and support in line with the values our Marist Brother founders set for us, said executive headmaster Mike Thiel.

This has been a year of challenges and community for St David Marist Inanda.

According to executive headmaster Mike Thiel, despite the difficulties of the lockdown, both in-person and online teaching allowed the learners to continue with their formal academic education as well as the critical lessons which they learn from both one-on-one teaching and the dynamics of group learning

“There is no denying that the best way for children to learn is in a relational context.

“Our staff, parents and learner have contributed to an environment of care and support in line with the values our Marist Brother founders set for us, to be a school where humility, simplicity and modesty inform our decisions, and where we instil a love of work in our boys and a real family spirit.”

Thiel added that throughout the year, the St David’s community has learnt the importance of support as it coped with loss and the restrictions of the lockdown.

“As we enter the Christmas holiday period we wish all in our community well for a restful and peaceful time, discovering the importance of family, and readying themselves for the many exciting challenges that 2022 will bring,” said Thiel.
