Award-winning comedian comes to Sandton

SANDTON – Audiences can look forward to an evening of laughs on December 9 as Abuti Lolo tells stories about his life and experiences along his comedic journey.

Award-winning comedian Abuti Lolo is set to bring his one-man comedy show to Sandton’s very own Hotel Sky.

Audiences can look forward to an evening of laughs on December 9 as Lolo tells stories about his life and experiences along his comedic journey.

While the comedian only discovered his love for comedy about five years ago, the journey thus far has been filled with memories and stomach-aching laughs. “It has been a rewarding journey so far, getting to share the stage with so many people that I never thought that I would be able to reach,” he said.

This included sharing a stage at the Blacks Only Comedy Show and being on tour with Skhumba Hlophe. “These are all highlights for me because when you are starting out, you think that these things are still far for you. When they finally get to happen you realise that wow, I am actually doing this.”

Through his one-man show, Lolo is hoping to introduce himself and his work to the community. “Doing shows with other people you only have 10 to 20 minutes, this way I will have about one hour to introduce who I am, what I am going through and the stories that I would like to tell.”
