Trading continues at Sandton shopping centres

SANDTON – Additional security measures have been put in place to prioritise the safety and security of shoppers and tenants.

A number of retailers and shopping centres across Sandton and Bryanston are open for business today (July 13).

According to Sandton City Shopping Centre on Twitter, additional security measures have been put in place to prioritise the safety and security of its shoppers and tenants.

The shopping centre has resumed trading as normal.

“However, the decision has been made to offer tenants optional trade, due to staffing challenges as a result of road closures,” said the centre on social media.

Individuals looking to visit the centre are advised to contact the relevant store beforehand to avoid disappointment.

Benmore Centre also resumed trading today, following a false alarm threat of looting yesterday which saw various shops close early as a precaution.
