Kagiso Rabada and Cameron Scott are moving into the film space with their latest project

RIVERCLUB – Check out Kingdom Kome Productions' latest short film

The dynamic duo, Kagiso Rabada and Cameron Scott have come together to introduce their company, Kingdome Kome Productions.

The two film lovers said their joint inspiration was a fusion of their visions.

“In essence, what we wanted to do was to create a homegrown SA company that makes international standard exports and films; a production company that pretty much tells all sorts of stories that inspire, entertain, innovate and educate people.”

He said that a huge part of starting the company was the fact that they weren’t seeing the work that they wanted to see on screens. “We saw a gap that we wanted to be part of and tell stories and be hands-on.”

Their latest production, The Ring of Beasts is an important milestone for the two. They hosted an exclusive screening of the film last month.

“It is set in a world that exists in ‘some time and some place’ after a global event called ‘The Rift’ and centres around twin brothers born as different races who are raised as dogs and made to fight like dogs for their master’s pleasure. Drawing from legend, with strong and powerful themes around love, hate, cruelty to animals and violence, the project also subtly explores the conditions of humanity and racism,” said Rabada.

Riverclub resident Scott said that the film is worthy to be seen on an international level. Bringing narrative stories to life, Scott intends on going beyond entertainment to find that authenticity.

As they grow their brand, the duo said audiences can look forward to three new projects – two feature films and an in-depth sports documentary series.

“We’ve got big goals and we intend to meet them”, said Rabada.

You can also look out for Scott on your screens every Thursday night on The Bachelorette South Africa.
