Bramley police secure conviction of three men for house breaking
BRAMLEY – Three men were swiftly arrested and convicted for housebreaking and theft.
Bramley police are proud of the work of Detective Sergeant Phillip Munyai who secured the conviction of three men recently.
The spokesperson for the Bramley Police Station Captain Molefe Mogodi said Bramley police continued squeezing the space for criminals, disabling them from operating freely.
Daniel Thatjana (28), Elliot Lethotla (38) and Samuel Molepo (29) were caught stealing from a house in Bramley by a CAP reaction officer.
“The three men broke into the house along High Road and they had already removed goods from the house when they were apprehended in the early hours of 21 February,” said Mogodi.
The case was assigned to Munyai who specialises in housebreaking and theft cases.
“The following day [22 February], the three accused appeared in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court where they were found guilty and sentenced to three years’ imprisonment.”
Mogodi commended the good work of Munyai, not forgetting the CAP security officers who he said always seemed to be in the right place at the right time.
“We really appreciate the help we get from CAP.”
