Sandhurst Primary bids farewell to their Grade 7’s

SANDHURST– Sandhurst Pre- and Preparatory College first Grade 7 graduates bid farewell to their school.

Sandhurst Pre- and Preparatory College situated in the heart of Parkmore is celebrating their flagship-grade.
Conceptualised in 2013 and an extension of Sandhurst Pre-Primary, they opened their doors in 2014.

Principal of the school, Tracey Watkins said she was so proud of this bright group.

“The Grade 7s epitomise bravery and courage and we have always valued their unique sense of individuality. They stand up for what they believe in and we trust that they will walk out of the Sandhurst doors with confidence and a firm belief that they have the potential to achieve whatever they set their hearts and minds to,” she added.

She said one learner, in particular, Njabulo Mgidi, started at the school from pre-primary.

“I feel honoured to be the only learner who has attended this school from Grade R to 7 and I will miss all the unforgettable memories and the constant love that I have been surrounded by. I am grateful for the people who have touched my life and who I will never forget. I wouldn’t trade my experiences for anything and Sandhurst will always feel like my second home,” said Njabulo.

Watkins said the ethos of Sandhurst Pre- and Preparatory College was something that Njabulo would carry with her which was to embrace individuality and staying true.

Watkins would like to leave the group with words of encouragement and motivation for their future as they enter a new stage of their lives.

“Be fearless in the decisions you make; make own your mistakes, learn from them and fly. As our Grade 7s prepare for the exciting challenges that await them in their new high schools, we encourage them to remember their worth and make themselves proud. We will miss you.”
