Robber nabbed in Bryanston

"All information will be treated with the strictest confidence and informers may remain anonymous."

A swift response by police officers led to the arrest of an alleged robber in Bryanston on 22 June.

According to Sandton Police Station spokesperson Captain Granville Meyer, the 30-year-old suspect allegedly robbed his victim of a cell phone while he was walking along Grosvenor Road. “The victim then informed a police sector vehicle patrolling the area who swiftly responded and arrested the suspect in the vicinity,” added Meyer.

The suspect appeared in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on 24 June.

Meyer would like to appeal to all members of the community who have information on crime to contract the South African Police Service on the Crime Stop number 08600 10111. Information can also be shared via the MySAPSApp which can easily be downloaded on the Play Store (Android devices) or App Store (Apple devices).
