Rosettenville man arrested for theft in the north

SANDTON– A Rosettenville man was charged with house break-in and theft in Bryanston

Excellent detective work led to the arrest of a 36-year-old suspect on Wednesday, 15 April.

Captain Granville Meyer, spokesperson for the Sandton Police Station said that the man was from the south of Joburg in Rosettenville.

“The suspect appeared in the Alexandra Regional Court on Thursday, 16 April. Sandton detectives charged him as part of their investigation into an alleged house break-in and theft case.”

He added that the suspect allegedly broke into a house in Bryanston on 2 February. The suspect allegedly stole goods to an estimated value of R100 000.

The Sandton detectives appeal to residents to keep reporting criminal activities in the area by phoning the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or reporting it via the MySAPS app, where they can provide tip-offs anonymously.
