Additional burst lengthens water shutdown in parts of Bryanston
BRYANSTON – An additional burst pipe in Ballyclare Drive has left a number of homes east of Bryanston without water.
A number of residents in Bryanston wake up to another day without water.

Almost 24 hours has elapsed since Johannesburg Water announced an emergency shutdown of the water supply in the area, closing the Bryanston Reservoir in order to repair a burst pipe on 24 March.

The estimated time of restoration was updated to 9pm that evening but according to spokesperson Isaac Dhludhlu, another pipe had burst further affecting the water supply.
“The burst at the reservoir was repaired and there is another burst pipe that is affecting supply and our teams are attending to it now,” he added.
