Bryanston Primary gets egg-cited

BRYANSTON – Bryanston Primary School aims to collect 12 000 Easter eggs for the elderly.

Bryanston Primary School collected more than 8 000 Easter eggs thus far to donate to the less fortunate over the Easter holidays.

With the goal aimed at 12 000, the school simply aims to bring the community together during the Easter family season. “It aims to bring the community together to share in a little sweetness with those less fortunate over the Easter holiday period,” said spokesperson Pippa Hunt.

This year, the beneficiaries of all these sweet treats will be the elderly of local old age homes, Refilwe Children’s Home in Lanseria, Charity begins with me and Act of Kindness.

The school welcomes any support from the community by donating chocolate-coated marshmallow eggs (usually supplied in dispenser boxes or strips)which can be dropped off at the school’s reception by 20 March.

“Every donation is warmly received and the generosity of our children and parents never ceases to amaze us and I’m sure that this year will be no different and a cracking success. Every egg makes a big difference to someone this Easter and helps put smiles back on faces,” said Bronwen Agostinetto, the teacher who organised this wonderful initiative.
