Ashraful Aid kicks off outreach programme

MARLBORO GARDENS –The Ashraful Aid Foundation kicked off its National Education and Student Outreach initiative by donating first aid kits to Marlboro Primary School.

The Ashraful Aid humanitarian organisation in Marlboro Gardens kicked off its National Education and Student Outreach initiative on 28 January. The initiative, set to run until 7 February, works toward creating better schooling conditions for learners.

“Ashraful Aid will be donating stationery, backpacks and sanitary pads through our nationwide campaign, to enhance the lives of our learners. Furthermore, first aid kits will also be handed to schools around South Africa, making it so much easier to assist in those little accidents that happen at times,” said Imtiaz Ahmod.

On 29 January, project manager Imran Haffejee handed over fully equipped first aid kits to the Iputheng Primary School and Marlboro Gardens Combined School.

Ahmod added that this initiative was just the beginning of a long list of outreach programmes it has in store. “We envision to work further and deeper in communities where there is a definite need. Education is key in uplifting humanity,” Ahmod said.

“As a humanitarian organisation, we would like to encourage prospective volunteers to come join us in making a difference in the lives of our learners.”
